Camel Husk
The Camel Husk is an undead variant of the ordinary camel that appears in desert biomes after nightfall or during thunderstorms. Unlike most undead mobs in Minecraft, the Camel Husk does not ignite when exposed to direct sunlight, which immediately distinguishes it from creatures such as zombies and skeletons.
In Java Edition, each naturally spawning husk carries a 10% chance of generating as part of a camel husk jockey formation — a multi-mob group in which an iron-spear-carrying husk serves as the primary rider while a parched mob occupies a second passenger slot, all mounted atop the Camel Husk. Only one such jockey is permitted within a single spawning pack, and sufficient surrounding space is required for the formation to appear. Once both riders have been defeated or dismounted, the Camel Husk becomes entirely passive. At that point, players may interact with it just as they would a standard camel, including fitting it with a saddle and using its dash ability to leap up to 12 blocks forward.
The Camel Husk holds an unusual triple classification as an animal, a monster, and an undead entity simultaneously. Consequently, it cannot breed, is harmed by Instant Health effects, healed by Instant Damage, and unaffected by both Regeneration and Poison. The wither ignores it completely, while the Smite enchantment deals extra damage to it. It also regenerates a small portion of health each game tick and can be tempted or healed with Rabbit's Feet. Its fall damage threshold sits at 6 blocks rather than the usual 3, and any fall damage it does receive is reduced by half.
