Tannery
Tannery is a village building that generates in most village biomes except desert villages, in both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. It is the job site for the leatherworker villager, who uses a cauldron as their job site block. The building’s style and materials vary depending on the biome, typically using wood, stone, or terracotta elements.
Tanneries contain a loot chest in all biome variants except the desert. The chest may include bread, leather armor pieces (cap, tunic, pants, boots), bundles, leather, emeralds, and occasionally a saddle. Bread is among the most common items, while saddles and emeralds are rarer.
Inside the tannery, players will usually find a cauldron, a bed, and interior features like tables or storage blocks. The building plays a role in supporting leather-related trades and may not generate in every village.
