Polished Sulfur Stairs

Polished Sulfur Stairs

Polished Sulfur Stairs is a block in Minecraft. It is crafted from 6 Polished Sulfur.

Polished Sulfur Stairs are a decorative building block derived from Polished Sulfur, carrying the pale yellow, mineral-toned appearance of its source material. Like all stair-type blocks in Minecraft, Polished Sulfur Stairs allow players to move up or down a single block in height without needing to jump, making them a practical and visually consistent choice for ramps, staircases, and detailed architectural work.

Polished Sulfur Stairs can be crafted by arranging six Polished Sulfur blocks in the standard stair pattern, which yields four stairs per craft. Alternatively, either Sulfur or Polished Sulfur can be fed into a stonecutter to produce Polished Sulfur Stairs at a one-to-one ratio, offering a more resource-efficient option when only a small number are needed. A wooden pickaxe is the minimum tool required to mine them — breaking Polished Sulfur Stairs without any pickaxe will cause the block to drop nothing.

In terms of durability, Polished Sulfur Stairs have a hardness of 1.5 and a blast resistance of 6, placing them in the moderately sturdy range among decorative blocks. They are waterloggable, meaning they can be placed inside water source blocks without displacing the water, which can be handy for underwater construction. Notably, Polished Sulfur Stairs are non-flammable and will not ignite from contact with lava. When placed beneath a note block, they produce a Bass Drum sound, adding a minor functional dimension to their use in redstone music contraptions.
