Emerald Ore
Emerald Ore is a rare mineral block that generates exclusively in mountain and windswept hills biomes. It drops emeralds when mined with an iron pickaxe or better unless mined with Silk Touch, which allows the block itself to be collected. Fortune increases the emerald drop count up to a maximum of four.
Emerald Ore generates between levels -16 and 320, peaking in abundance at level 232. However, due to limited terrain at higher elevations, it is most commonly found around level 90. The deepslate variant, Deepslate Emerald Ore, is even rarer, appearing only between levels -16 and 8 within deepslate terrain. Emerald Ore is primarily used to obtain emeralds, which serve as currency for trading with villagers. It can also be smelted into emeralds and placed under note blocks to produce 'bass drum' sounds.
