Mace
Mace is an item in Minecraft. It is crafted from 1 Heavy Core and 1 Breeze Rod.
Mace is a weapon that converts height into damage. An ordinary swing from it is unremarkable, but strike a mob while you are falling and it lands a smash attack whose damage climbs with every block you dropped — and the impact cancels the fall damage you would have taken, so the landing itself costs you nothing. Used properly it is less a melee weapon than a delivery system for gravity.
The bonus scales in tiers. The first few blocks of a fall add the most, the next stretch adds less, and everything beyond that adds a steady trickle, so a drop of a dozen blocks is worth far more than a hop while a truly enormous fall has diminishing returns. A landed smash also throws out a shockwave that flings back everything standing near the target, which is why one scatters a crowd that a sword has to chew through a mob at a time.
The mace enchantments are their own set. Density raises the damage added per block fallen and Breach cuts through the target's armor, and the two cannot sit on the same weapon. Wind Burst launches you back up on impact so one smash can be chained into the next, and it comes only from ominous vault loot rather than an enchanting table. Sharpness does not apply here at all, which is why a Density build and a Breach build are the two real directions to take.
Both ingredients come from trial chambers, so no Mace exists in a world until someone has raided one. Its power then depends entirely on terrain: devastating from a ledge, an elytra dive, or a wind charge boost, and merely adequate on flat ground with nothing to jump off.
