Lodestone
Lodestone is a block in Minecraft. It is crafted from 8 Chiseled Stone Bricks and 1 Iron Ingot.
Lodestone is a unique utility block that allows compasses to lock onto its position, even across dimensions. This makes it a valuable tool for navigation, especially in the Nether and the End where compasses would normally spin randomly.
Lodestones are crafted using 1 Iron Ingot and 8 Chiseled Stone Bricks, making them inexpensive to produce. They also generate in bastion remnant bridge chests and ruined portal chests with a chance of up to 100%.
When a compass is used on a Lodestone, it becomes a Lodestone compass, permanently pointing toward that specific Lodestone as long as it exists. If the Lodestone is broken or the compass is taken to a different dimension, the compass begins to spin erratically again. Lodestones are unmovable by pistons and must be mined with a pickaxe to retrieve them.
This functionality makes the Lodestone essential for long-term exploration, base marking, or coordinating with others across different realms in Minecraft.
