Netherite scrap is a rare material obtained by smelting ancient debris in a furnace or blast furnace. Ancient debris generates exclusively in the Nether, making netherite scrap a high-tier resource that requires mining in lava-rich environments.

Netherite scrap is primarily used to craft netherite ingots, which are essential for upgrading diamond tools, weapons, and armor at a smithing table. Four netherite scraps combined with four gold ingots produce one netherite ingot.

Due to its rarity and importance in late-game gear progression, netherite scrap is a highly valuable item, making netherite tools and armor more durable, fire-resistant, and knockback-resistant than their diamond counterparts.
