Fox
Fox is a neutral mob that spawns in cold and snowy forested biomes, including taigas and snowy taigas. Foxes are nocturnal, meaning they are most active at night, and they prefer food over other items, often carrying one item in their mouth.
Foxes do not drop any items upon death, but they will drop any item they are holding when killed.
Foxes can be bred using sweet berries or glow berries. When two adult foxes are fed berries, they enter love mode and produce a baby fox. If a red fox and a snow fox breed, the baby fox has a 50% chance of being either variant. Unlike wild foxes, baby foxes trust the player, meaning they will not flee when approached. Baby foxes take 20 minutes to grow into adults, but their growth can be sped up by feeding them berries.
Foxes are neutral mobs and generally avoid players, unless they are bred or trust the player. They have a 20% chance to spawn holding an item, such as feathers, leather, wheat, eggs, rabbit hide, rabbit’s foot, or emeralds. Foxes will prioritize eating food items over keeping other objects in their mouths.
Foxes are agile hunters that attack chickens, rabbits, and fish. They can leap high into the air to pounce on prey, making them unique among passive and neutral mobs. Wolves and polar bears attack foxes on sight, making them natural enemies. Foxes can also be leashed with a lead, allowing players to transport them.
