Bee

Bee is a flying neutral mob that lives in Bee nests and beehives. Bees pollinate flowers and return to their nest or hive to store honey. Once the honey level reaches maximum, the nest or hive can be harvested using shears for honeycombs or glass bottles for honey bottles.

Bees do not drop any items when killed.

Bees can be bred using flowers, including tall flowers, flowering azalea, cherry leaves, mangrove propagules, pink petals, and spore blossoms. When two bees are fed one of these, they enter love mode and produce a baby Bee, granting the player 1–7 experience. Baby bees take 20 minutes to grow into adults, but this time can be sped up by feeding them flowers.

Bees are neutral mobs and will only attack when provoked. If a Bee is attacked, or if a Bee nest or beehive is broken or harvested without precautions, all nearby bees become hostile and attack in a swarm. When a Bee stings, it inflicts Poison for 10 seconds but loses its stinger and dies shortly after, similar to real-life bees. To safely harvest honey, players can use a campfire beneath the hive to calm the bees.

Bees follow players holding flowers and will hover nearby. If the player stands still, bees will face the player and land on the ground until the player moves. Bees pollinate by flying near flowers, collecting pollen on their bodies, and spreading it to nearby crops, which accelerates crop growth. They can also be leashed with a lead, allowing players to transport them to new locations.
