Frog

Frog is a passive mob found in swamps. It eats small slimes and small magma cubes, making it useful for farming slimeballs and unique light-emitting blocks called froglights. The type of frog is determined by its spawn biome, and each type produces a different froglight when eating a magma cube. Frogs do not drop any items when killed. Frogs can be bred using slimeballs. When two frogs are fed slimeballs, they enter love mode, and one becomes pregnant. The pregnant frog searches for a water block with at least one adjacent water block and lays frogspawn. The frogspawn hatches into tadpoles, which later grow into frogs. Unlike other baby mobs, tadpoles are considered a separate entity from frogs.

Frogs attack using their tongue, instantly pulling in and despawning small slimes and small magma cubes. When a frog eats a small slime, it causes the slime to drop slimeballs. When a frog eats a small magma cube, it produces a froglight block. The color of the froglight depends on the frog type. A temperate frog found in normal swamp biomes produces Ochre Froglight. A warm-climate frog, which is typically white, produces Pearlescent Froglight. A cold-climate frog, which is green, produces Verdant Froglight.

Frogs follow any player holding a slimeball within six blocks and can be leashed using a lead. Their ability to produce froglights and help farm slimeballs makes them useful for farming and decoration.
