The Leatherworker is a villager profession in Minecraft that specializes in trading leather armor and leather-related items. It uses the Cauldron as its job site block, which allows unemployed villagers to take on the profession when placed nearby.
Trades include leather armor, saddles, and leather horse armor, making them useful for acquiring early-game armor and equipping horses. At higher levels, they offer decorative dyed leather armor, allowing players to customize their look.
They progress through five levels—Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Master—unlocking better trades as they gain experience. They can be leveled up by trading emeralds, leather, and rabbit hide.
Leatherworkers can be zombified and cured to reduce trade costs, making them useful in trading halls. They spawn naturally in villages but can also be assigned the profession by placing a Cauldron near an unemployed villager.
