Nether Fossils generate only in Soul Sand Valley biomes in the Nether, partly buried in the soul sand and soul soil. They look like giant ribcages, spines and skulls built from Bone Blocks, and a Soul Sand Valley usually holds several.

How do I find a Nether Fossil from a seed?

Enter your seed and the finder marks estimated fossil locations. Open a marker for coordinates and travel there in the Nether — the pale Bone Blocks stand out clearly against the dark soul sand and blue soul fire.

What are Nether Fossils good for?

Each fossil is a large pile of Bone Blocks — mine them for a big stock of bone meal (nine per block) to fuel farms and composters, or build with the blocks themselves. There is no loot chest; the bones are the prize.
