Quick answer: Soul Sand Valleys are haunting, blue-lit canyons of soul sand and soul soil, strewn with giant bone fossils and lit by ghostly blue fire. This finder highlights every Soul Sand Valley on your seed, free, Java & Bedrock.
Soul Sand Valleys generate in the Nether as broad, open valleys floored with soul sand and soul soil. They are easy to recognise by their blue fog, drifting ash, ghostly blue soul fire and the huge bone-block fossils that arch across the terrain.
Enter your seed and the map highlights every Soul Sand Valley - click any highlighted patch to read its coordinates. The finder stays locked to the Nether, so you can pan to the nearest valley and head there to mine soul sand or set up a skeleton farm.
Soul Sand Valleys have by far the highest skeleton spawn rate in the game, which makes them prime spots for bone, bonemeal and arrow farms, and their open sightlines double as fast Nether-travel corridors. They are also where you gather soul sand and soul soil - needed to summon the Wither, to craft soul torches and campfires with their blue flame, and to use the Soul Speed enchantment. Watch for the ghasts that patrol overhead, whose clear lines of fire make the valley risky to cross.
Yes - both editions, Minecraft 26.2 on Java and 1.26.30 on Bedrock. Soul Sand Valleys arrived with the 1.16 Nether Update on both editions. Enter any seed and the map highlights every patch, free and with no sign-up.
