Soul Sand Valley
Soul Sand Valley is a biome in Minecraft. Mobs that spawn here include Skeleton, Ghast, Enderman, and Strider.

Soul Sand Valley is one of the most visually distinctive biomes found within the Nether dimension, covering roughly 17% of the Nether's total volume and ranking as its third most common biome. It can generate bordering nearly every other Nether biome, with the warped forest being the sole exception.
The floor of the Soul Sand Valley is blanketed almost entirely in soul sand and soul soil, with gravel appearing along the edges of lava seas. Scattered soul fire burns across the terrain, enormous basalt pillars rise from the ground to the ceiling, and Nether fossils jut out of the earth — each one surrounded by dried ghasts. Crimson roots and occasional mushrooms provide the only vegetation, though players who venture near a bordering crimson forest may spot crimson fungi or even large fungi growing at the boundary. Because the ceiling is composed of soul sand or soul soil rather than netherrack, glowstone blobs are uncommon here, appearing mainly in caves and canyons where netherrack forms the overhead surface.
The atmosphere of the Soul Sand Valley is notably eerie. A deep cyan fog drifts through the air alongside pale gray particles, while ambient sounds of howling winds and faint echoing voices add to the unsettling environment. Nether fortresses and bastion remnants can both generate within this biome, making it a destination worth exploring despite its dangers.
Surviving in the Soul Sand Valley requires preparation. Ghasts, skeletons, and endermen all spawn here, and the soul sand underfoot slows movement considerably unless a player equips boots enchanted with Soul Speed. The Soul Sand Valley rewards cautious exploration but punishes those who enter unprepared.
