Iron Ore

Iron Ore is a mineral block that generates underground and is the primary source of Raw Iron, which can be smelted into Iron Ingots.

Iron Ore can be mined with a stone pickaxe or higher. Without Silk Touch, it drops Raw Iron (increased with Fortune). Deepslate Iron Ore is a harder variant that generates in deeper layers. Iron Ore is mainly used for smelting into Iron Ingots and can also be placed under Note Blocks to produce bass drum sounds.
