Copper Chain
The Copper Chain is a decorative and functional block used to hang or connect objects, serving as the copper counterpart to the Iron Chain. It is crafted from two Copper Nuggets and one Copper Ingot arranged vertically in a 3×3 crafting grid. Like other copper blocks, it naturally oxidizes over time through four stages — Unoxidized, Exposed, Weathered, and Oxidized — changing color from orange to teal. Applying Honeycomb creates a Waxed Copper Chain, preventing further oxidation.
The Copper Chain can be placed both vertically and horizontally to suspend bells, lanterns, copper lanterns, and hanging signs, connecting seamlessly to their textures. It can also float freely without support and can be walked on when placed horizontally. The block can be pushed by pistons and is waterloggable. Lightning or axes can remove oxidation, restoring the original appearance. The Copper Chain requires a pickaxe to drop when mined and shares the same durability and sound properties as iron chains, offering a versatile building and decorative option for copper-based structures.
