Crying Obsidian
decorative
Crying Obsidian is a block in Minecraft. It can be mined and collected. It emits light at level 10. It is used to make Respawn Anchor.
Crying Obsidian is a glowing form of obsidian: it gives off light level 10 and drips decorative purple particles. Its blast resistance is high and the ender dragon cannot break it, but a nether portal cannot be built from it.
Crying Obsidian generates naturally in ruined portals and can also be obtained through piglin bartering. It is primarily used to craft respawn anchors, which allow players to set a respawn point in the Nether. Like regular obsidian, it cannot be pushed or pulled by pistons and produces a bass drum sound when placed under a note block.
