Orange Poplar Leaves

Orange Poplar Leaves form the canopy of poplar trees, one of the three color variants — alongside red and yellow — introduced together as part of poplar's foliage. You'll find Orange Poplar Leaves on the poplar trees that grow throughout dappled forest biomes.

Like other leaf blocks, Orange Poplar Leaves are transparent and will dissipate over time if they aren't within a short distance of a connected log, unless a player placed them directly. Breaking a leaf block by hand usually yields nothing, but a small chance exists to drop a sapling or a stick instead; a hoe is the quickest tool for the job, and shears or a Silk Touch tool are needed to collect the leaves themselves. They can also be smelted down into leaf litter.

What sets Orange Poplar Leaves apart from most other leaves is that their color comes from a fixed texture rather than a biome tint, so they look the same no matter where they're placed. They also rustle on their own when their four horizontal neighbors are a non-stripped log and three more poplar leaves of the same color, a sound that carries up to 12 blocks. Like other leaves, Orange Poplar Leaves can be waterlogged, are flammable, and can catch fire from nearby lava.
