Crimson Shelf
The Crimson Shelf is a Nether-themed storage block crafted from six Stripped Crimson Stems arranged in two horizontal rows within a 3×3 crafting grid. It functions as both a display and storage block, capable of holding up to three item stacks. Each stored item is visibly shown on the front, allowing players to showcase tools, ingredients, or valuables while keeping them easily accessible. Interacting with a slot swaps the player’s held item with the one displayed, offering quick and intuitive item management.
When powered by redstone, the Crimson Shelf can connect with up to two nearby shelves to form a network that swaps its contents with the player’s hotbar. One powered shelf swaps three slots, two connected shelves swap six, and three shelves swap all nine. Comparators can measure how many slots are filled, outputting a signal strength between 0 and 7 based on fullness—ideal for automated or decorative redstone builds.
The Crimson Shelf has a hardness of 2, blast resistance of 3, and is best mined with an axe. Unlike Overworld shelves, it is non-flammable and cannot be used as furnace fuel. With its deep red coloration and organic Nether texture, the Crimson Shelf adds a bold, mystical accent to Nether bases, arcane libraries, or dramatic interior designs.
