Sweeping Edge is an enchantment in Minecraft. It can be applied up to level 3.

Sweeping Edge is a Java Edition exclusive sword enchantment that significantly increases sweep attack damage against nearby enemies. This powerful enchantment can be obtained through enchanting tables, villager trading, fishing, and loot chests found in various Minecraft structures.

Sweeping Edge comes in three levels, increasing sweep damage by 50%, 67%, and 75% of the sword's base attack damage respectively. Sweep attacks activate when standing on solid ground with 84.8% attack cooldown or higher, damaging entities within a 1×0.25×1 block area around the primary target.

This enchantment excels in mob farming, crowd control, and multi-enemy combat situations. A diamond sword with Sweeping Edge III can deal substantial area damage, making it invaluable for efficient mob clearing. The enchantment works with other damage enchantments like Sharpness, creating devastating combinations for Java Edition players focused on melee combat and automated farming systems.
