Crimson Fungus

Crimson Fungus is a plant found in the Crimson Forest biome in the Nether. It generates naturally on Nylium blocks and can be grown using bone meal when placed on Crimson Nylium, producing a Crimson tree that yields Crimson stems and Shroomlights.

Crimson Fungus is primarily used to grow Crimson trees, providing a renewable source of Crimson wood, which has a red-toned texture useful for building. It is also used to breed hoglins and to lure them, since hoglins are drawn to it — warped fungus is the one that striders follow.

Since it only grows on Crimson Nylium, it must be farmed in the Nether or by spreading Nylium with bone meal. Due to its uses in wood farming and hoglin breeding, Crimson Fungus is an important resource for Nether exploration and construction.
