Buried Trial Chambers Map

The Buried Trial Chambers Map is a specialized map that helps players locate a Trial Chamber, a new underground structure introduced in the 1.21 update. It is primarily used to guide players to these chambers, which contain combat challenges, traps, and valuable loot.

A Buried Trial Chambers Map can be obtained by trading with cartographer villagers at journeyman level in exchange for emeralds and a compass. It cannot be crafted; besides villager trading, one can turn up in the hidden chest of an abandoned camp.

When held and viewed, the Buried Trial Chambers Map shows a top-down view of the surrounding terrain, with a player marker and a Trial Chamber icon. The player marker moves when traveling, helping guide them toward the structure. The map is oriented with north at the top, assisting in navigation.

Unlike a normal map, a Buried Trial Chambers Map has a fixed destination and does not track new areas explored by the player. It remains unchanged once generated but is a valuable tool for locating Trial Chambers efficiently.

A Buried Trial Chambers Map can be placed in item frames for display or used as a navigation tool. Unlike a Cartography Table, it cannot be copied or expanded but remains essential for finding Trial Chambers in survival mode.
