Abandoned Camp

Abandoned Camp is a small Overworld surface structure representing the remains of a campsite, generating across eighteen biomes that range from bamboo jungle and swamp to savanna, taiga, and wooded badlands. Abandoned Camp is assembled from nearly 300 small building pieces, so no two camps look quite alike.

A typical Abandoned Camp includes a campfire, straw beds, cushions to sit on, white wool stairs, crafting tables, cobwebs, gravel and dirt, and fences built from whichever wood grows locally, from oak and spruce to bamboo and pale oak, along with patches of mossy cobblestone. Some camps also feature an oxidized copper chest, oxidized copper lanterns, or an oxidized copper golem statue.

In Java Edition, loot in an Abandoned Camp comes from three kinds of containers. A common chest always contains an Abandoned Camp Map leading to a camp in a different biome from its own, plus supplies such as arrows, gunpowder, leather, candles, a compass, a spyglass, a bow, and copper tools, armor, and weapons. Secret chests are richer, frequently yielding iron, gold, and copper ingots alongside diamonds, potions, iron gear, and an explorer map toward a distant structure such as a woodland mansion or a buried ancient city. Barrels scattered around Abandoned Camp hold food and everyday camp supplies, from bread and wheat to string, glass bottles, and a straw bed or cushion.
