Copper Shovel
The Copper Shovel is a digging tool crafted using one Copper Ingot and two Sticks in a 3×3 crafting grid. It serves as a mid-tier shovel, positioned between Stone and Iron in strength, combining moderate efficiency, solid durability, and high enchantability. With a mining efficiency of 5 and 190 durability, the Copper Shovel is well-suited for breaking dirt, sand, gravel, and other soft blocks quickly.
Beyond digging, the Copper Shovel can also create Dirt Paths by right-clicking grass, dirt, coarse dirt, or podzol blocks, and it can extinguish campfires with a single use of durability. It deals 3.5 attack damage in Java Edition (3 in Bedrock Edition), allowing it to serve as a light backup weapon. Like other copper tools, it can be repaired in an Anvil using Copper Ingots or by combining two damaged shovels.
The Copper Shovel accepts common tool enchantments such as Efficiency, Unbreaking, and Silk Touch, enhancing its versatility. When smelted, it returns a Copper Nugget. Durable, efficient, and distinctively copper-toned, the Copper Shovel is a reliable early-game utility tool for both building and exploration.
