Quick answer: Swamps are murky, low-lying wetlands of lily pads, blue orchids and vine-draped oaks, where witches lurk in stilted huts and slimes spawn after dark. This finder highlights every Swamp on your seed, free, Java & Bedrock.

Where do Swamps generate?

Swamps generate on the Overworld surface in low-lying, flat wetlands, where shallow dark-green water sits at sea level and is dotted with lily pads and patches of clay. Vine-draped oak trees, mushrooms, sugar cane and the swamp's signature blue orchids fill the land. They often border rivers, plains and forests.

How do I find a Swamp on my seed?

Enter your seed and the map highlights every Swamp - click any highlighted patch to read its coordinates, then travel there to explore. The highlight covers the whole biome region, so you can pick the patch closest to your base or spawn. Swamps sit low and flat, so they are easy to recognise once you arrive.

What is special about the Swamp?

Swamps are prized for swamp huts, night-time slime spawns and blue orchids, and many long-time players still call them Swampland. A swamp hut spawns a witch and a black cat, making it the basis of a good witch farm, while slimes spawn on the surface at night between Y 50 and 70 for easy slimeballs. Blue orchids grow only in swamps, lily pads and clay cover the shallows, fossils generate below, frogs can be farmed for froglights, and the separate Mangrove Swamp (added in 1.19) is the muddy, mangrove-tree variant if that is what you are after.

Does the Swamp finder work on Bedrock?

Yes - both editions, Minecraft 26.2 on Java and 1.26.30 on Bedrock. The swamp is one of the original biomes and works the same on Java and Bedrock, witch huts and all. The map highlights every patch on your seed, free and with no sign-up.
