Cherry Grove

Cherry Grove is a mountain biome found in the Overworld, appearing on slopes, plateaus, and valley interiors within mountain ranges. It occupies a medium-temperature climate zone and can take on wildly different shapes — from tiny microbiomes just a few blocks across to broad plateau expanses hundreds of blocks wide, or narrow rings encircling tall peaks. At lower elevations, the Cherry Grove borders sunflower plains and plains biomes, while higher up it meets frozen peaks and snowy slopes. Lateral transitions can lead toward meadows, forests, savanna plateaus, and groves.

The most recognizable feature of the Cherry Grove is its cherry trees, which sport vivid pink leaf canopies that continuously shed falling petal particles into the air. When the trees grow densely together, their canopies can form an almost unbroken pink ceiling overhead. Bee nests appear fairly regularly on cherry tree trunks, and the ground beneath is carpeted with lush green grass, clusters of short and tall grass, and scattered pink petals, giving the biome a distinctly ornamental atmosphere.

In terms of resources, emerald ore generates at higher elevations within the Cherry Grove, much like in meadow biomes, while coal and iron ore are common throughout the terrain. Infested blocks also occur naturally here, and pillager outposts can spawn in the biome, though villages cannot. In Bedrock Edition, Cherry Grove is classified as a cold biome, which would permit snowfall above roughly Y=200, though natural terrain does not reach that height.

Passive mob spawns in the Cherry Grove are limited to pigs, sheep, and rabbits. The standard cast of hostile Overworld mobs — creepers, zombies, skeletons, and spiders — appears at night, with endermen, witches, and zombie villagers also spawning at lower rates.
