Suspicious Sand

Suspicious Sand is a fragile, gravity-affected block found in Overworld structures like desert temples, desert wells, and warm ocean ruins. It cannot be obtained through mining, as it breaks instantly without dropping anything if moved by a piston, affected by gravity, or exposed to explosions.

Suspicious Sand can be brushed using a brush tool, revealing hidden loot depending on its structure of origin. Possible rewards include pottery sherds, emeralds, diamonds, and other unique items. Once brushed, it converts into regular sand. It is also one of the few blocks where turtle eggs can hatch. This block plays a key role in archaeology mechanics and cannot be placed by players to generate loot. When placed under a note block, it produces a unique sound.
