Cinnabar Brick Slab
Cinnabar Brick Slab is a block in Minecraft. It can be crafted.
Cinnabar Brick Slab is a decorative half-block derived from cinnabar bricks, carrying the same reddish brick texture at half the standard block height. It can be placed in either the lower or upper portion of a block space, giving builders flexibility when constructing stepped surfaces, ledges, or detailed architectural features. Stacking two Cinnabar Brick Slab pieces together fills the full block space, forming a double slab that behaves as a completely opaque block.
There are two ways to obtain the Cinnabar Brick Slab. Crafting three cinnabar bricks in a horizontal row across a crafting grid produces six slabs at once. Alternatively, a stonecutter can convert cinnabar, polished cinnabar, or cinnabar bricks directly into Cinnabar Brick Slab without any loss of material. A pickaxe of any tier is required to mine the slab; breaking it by hand will not drop the block.
The Cinnabar Brick Slab is not a renewable resource, meaning it cannot be obtained through natural regeneration or trading cycles. It is waterloggable, allowing water to occupy the same space without displacing it. Neither lava ignition nor fire spread affects this block, making it a reasonable choice in environments near heat sources. In its single-slab form it is partially transparent and diffuses sky light in Bedrock Edition, whereas the double-slab variant is fully opaque. When placed beneath a note block, the Cinnabar Brick Slab causes it to emit a bass drum sound.
