Scaffolding

Scaffolding is a climbable semi-solid block primarily used for construction, allowing players to build and traverse vertical structures easily. It can be placed and broken instantly without requiring tools, and breaking the bottom block causes all Scaffolding above it to collapse, similar to bamboo or chorus plants.

Scaffolding is crafted using bamboo and string and can also generate in trial chambers. It can be placed up to six blocks outward from a base support before falling. Players can climb Scaffolding by jumping and descend by sneaking, making it a useful alternative to ladders.

Scaffolding can be waterlogged and is not flammable in some cases. Mobs cannot spawn on it, and it can reset fall damage if a player lands on it while sneaking. It can also be used as fuel in furnaces, smelting 0.25 items per block.
