String is obtained by killing spiders, cave spiders, and striders ridden by zombified piglins, as well as by breaking cobwebs with a sword or shears. It can also be found in chests inside jungle temples, dungeons, bastions, and mineshafts or acquired through trading with novice-level fisherman villagers.
