String is an item in Minecraft. It can be obtained by trading with villagers. It is used to make Fishing Rod, Lead, Bow, and 6 more.

String is obtained by killing spiders, cave spiders, and striders ridden by zombified piglins, as well as by breaking cobwebs with a sword or shears. It can also be found in chests inside jungle temples, dungeons, bastions, and mineshafts or acquired through trading with novice-level fisherman villagers.

String is used to craft bows, crossbows, fishing rods, leads, and scaffolding, making it essential for combat, fishing, and construction. It is also a key ingredient in wool crafting, allowing players to convert four strings into one wool block.
