Stripped Poplar Wood is a decorative wood block created by using an axe on Poplar Wood, stripping away the outer bark layer to reveal a uniform wood texture across all six faces. It belongs to the poplar wood family and carries the same pale, light-gray coloring shared by other blocks in that set. Because it can be placed in any orientation — vertically, horizontally, or along any axis — Stripped Poplar Wood offers considerable flexibility when used in building projects.

Stripped Poplar Wood has a hardness and blast resistance of 2, which is consistent with other wood block variants in the game. It can be broken by hand and will still drop itself as a collectible item, though using an axe greatly speeds up the process. Like most wood types, Stripped Poplar Wood is flammable and can catch fire from nearby lava, so placement near heat sources carries some risk. When positioned beneath a note block, it produces a bass instrument sound.

Crafting Stripped Poplar Wood requires arranging four Stripped Poplar Logs in a 2×2 grid, which yields three blocks as a result. This provides a straightforward way to convert logs into an all-bark decorative block without introducing any new textures. It can also be used as a fuel in furnaces and blast furnaces, though it is generally more practical as a building material.

On maps, Stripped Poplar Wood renders in a light-gray color, distinguishing it from darker stripped wood varieties. It is worth noting that the poplar wood type, including Stripped Poplar Wood, is currently exclusive to Java Edition and does not have an equivalent in Bedrock Edition.
