Wet Sponge
Wet Sponge is a block in Minecraft. It can be mined and collected.
Wet Sponge is the waterlogged form of a sponge that has absorbed water. Once wet, it can no longer soak up additional water until dried.
Wet sponges are obtained when a sponge absorbs water or by killing elder guardians, which always drop one. They're also found inside ocean monuments, typically in sponge rooms containing around 30 wet sponges on average.
Wet sponges can be dried in a furnace (optionally filling a bucket in the process), or instantly when placed in the Nether. In Bedrock Edition, they also dry over time when placed in dry biomes. Once dry, the sponge can be reused to remove water again. Wet sponges are best harvested with a hoe and are essential for draining underwater spaces, clearing flooded builds, or preparing areas for water-sensitive redstone contraptions.
