Candle
Candle is a block in Minecraft. It is crafted from String ×1 and Honeycomb ×1. It is used to make White Candle, Orange Candle, Magenta Candle, and 13 more.
The Candle is a light-emitting block used for decorative lighting and atmospheric builds. A single Candle gives off a light level of 3, but up to four Candles can be placed in one block space, increasing the light level up to 12. A Candle is crafted using 1 Honeycomb and 1 String in a 2×2 crafting grid. Ancient city chests can contain it as well. It can also be dyed into 16 different colors by combining a Candle with any dye in a crafting grid.
A Candle can be lit with Flint and Steel or a Fire Charge and stays lit until it is broken, put out by hand, or doused with water. It can be placed on solid blocks and on top of uneaten cakes, so it can decorate birthday cakes and celebrations. Unlike Lanterns or Torches, Candles do not emit a high light level and are mainly used for ambient lighting rather than mob-proofing.
A Candle can be mined quickly by hand or with any tool. Unlike Glowstone or Lanterns, a Candle provides customizable and aesthetic lighting rather than practical illumination.
