Glass

Glass is a transparent solid block that can be used for decoration, crafting, and as a component in various recipes. It can be smelted from sand or red sand and is used to craft stained glass, tinted glass, glass panes, beacons, and other items.

Glass blocks do not have an assigned tool and can only be collected with a Silk Touch-enchanted tool; otherwise, they drop nothing. Mobs cannot spawn on glass, and they cannot see players through it. Glass blocks allow light to pass through and can be used in redstone circuits without interfering with signal transmission. Glass can be found naturally in woodland mansion secret rooms and ancient cities. It is also a tradeable item, with journeyman librarians offering glass for emeralds.
