Soul Soil

Soul Soil is a unique block found in the Nether that generates naturally in Soul Sand Valleys.

Soul Soil can be obtained by mining it with any tool or by hand, though shovels are the fastest. Unlike Soul Sand, it does not slow down entities walking on it. It is primarily used for crafting, as a base for spawning the Wither, and for creating Basalt when combined with Lava and Blue Ice. Fire lit on Soul Soil burns as Soul Fire, producing a blue flame. When placed under a note block, it produces a 'bass drum' sound.
