Firefly Bush
Firefly Bush is a block in Minecraft. It can be mined and collected. It emits light at level 2.
Firefly Bush is a decorative plant that emits glowing firefly particles in low light and creates ambient buzzing sounds at night. Naturally generating near water on grass or mud in Overworld biomes (including swamps and mangrove swamps), it adds a unique atmospheric touch to landscapes.
The bush emits firefly particles when the light level is 13 or lower and can continue producing particles even when covered by blocks. In Java Edition, fireflies spread within a 5-block radius, while in Bedrock Edition, they reach up to 10 blocks. The fireflies don’t illuminate the environment but pulsate visibly, enhancing immersion.
Firefly bushes can be broken instantly with any item and always drop themselves. They can be placed on most soil blocks and used as fuel (5 seconds) or in a composter (30% chance to raise compost level). Using bone meal on one causes it to spread to adjacent blocks, making them easy to farm for decoration.
