Mangrove Swamp
Mangrove Swamp is a biome in Minecraft. Mobs that spawn here include Creeper, Slime, Spider, Zombie, and Bogged.

Mangrove Swamp is a warm, wetland biome found in the Overworld, recognizable by its thick clusters of mangrove trees rooted directly in a floor of mud blocks. Scattered grass and dirt patches break up the terrain, while lily pads drift across the teal-tinted water surface — a distinctive hue that sets the Mangrove Swamp apart from the grayer palette of a regular swamp. Seagrass lines the beds of flooded sections, and bee nests tucked into the canopy make this biome a dependable source of honey and honeycombs.
In terms of world generation, the Mangrove Swamp appears at or near sea level in regions with elevated erosion values. It tends to form alongside savannas, jungles, and deserts, and is often bordered by windswept savanna terrain. Rivers do not flow through it independently — they are absorbed into the biome itself. Underground, fossils can generate beneath the mud, sharing that trait with deserts and standard swamps. Despite its waterlogged appearance, the Mangrove Swamp never directly adjoins ocean biomes, though its water bodies frequently connect to them.
The mob roster here is distinct. Warm-variant frogs spawn exclusively in the Mangrove Swamp, alongside tropical fish in the water. Slimes appear at night between Y=50 and Y=70, with spawn rates that fluctuate according to the moon phase — reaching their peak during a full moon and halting entirely at new moon. Bogged skeletons also emerge after dark, introducing a poison-tipped arrow threat. Notably, swamp huts do not generate here, unlike in the standard swamp variant.
Villagers originating in a Mangrove Swamp wear a unique swamp-themed skin. Dense underwater fog limits visibility considerably, and with Vibrant Visuals enabled, the biome gains humid volumetric fog with an orange cast at distance and warmer color grading overall.
