Happy Ghast

The Happy Ghast is a passive counterpart of the ghast that can be harnessed and ridden by up to four players at once as a flying mount. Unlike regular ghasts, Happy Ghast is a friendly creature that follows players holding snowballs or harnesses, making it a valuable companion for aerial transportation and exploration. It spawns by waterlogging dried ghasts for approximately 20 minutes, transforming into ghastlings before maturing into adults.

Happy Ghast can only be obtained through the dried ghast hydration process, as it cannot be bred naturally. Ghastlings take 20 minutes to mature into rideable adults, though feeding them snowballs accelerates this growth significantly. Happy Ghast regenerates health naturally, with faster healing rates at cloud level or during precipitation. It roams within a 64-block radius of its home location when unharnessed.

When equipped with a harness, Happy Ghast becomes a powerful flying mount that moves at 5 blocks per second and supports up to four simultaneous riders. The pilot controls movement using standard directional inputs, while passengers occupy remaining seats. Happy Ghast can carry leashed entities underneath it for transport and becomes a stationary platform when players dismount, allowing construction at high altitudes. Its unique mechanics make it essential for advanced aerial gameplay and transportation.
