Snowball
Snowball is an item in Minecraft. It can be found in chests. It is used to make Snow Block.
Snowball is a throwable item primarily used for knockback rather than damage. While it deals no harm to most mobs, it can damage blazes for 3♥ (1.5 hearts) per hit and can destroy end crystals when thrown. Snowballs are affected by gravity and can be rapidly thrown without cooldown, making them useful for ranged distractions or utility purposes.
They are most commonly obtained by breaking snow blocks (yields 4 snowballs) or snow layers (1–8 snowballs total, one per layer) using a shovel without Silk Touch. Snowballs are also dropped from snow golems upon death and can appear in loot from ancient cities, trial chambers, and snowy village chests.
Snowballs can be used to craft snow blocks, fired from dispensers, or thrown to distract the warden, who will investigate the landing site unless provoked too often. In Bedrock Edition, snowballs can even ignite when thrown through fire or lava, setting mobs ablaze on impact. While mostly a novelty or utility item, they have niche use in specific combat or redstone trap setups.
