Cave Spider

Cave Spider is a smaller and more dangerous variant of the regular spider. It inflicts Poison with its attacks and only spawns from monster spawners in mineshafts and trial spawners in trial chambers.

Cave Spiders drop 0–2 string and have a 33.33% chance to drop 1 spider eye, which can be increased using the Looting enchantment. They also drop 5 experience when killed by a player.

Cave Spiders cannot be bred and do not spawn naturally. They are exclusively found near monster spawners in mineshafts, making them a unique threat in underground exploration.

Cave Spiders are hostile mobs that inflict Poison on players when attacking on Normal or Hard difficulty. On Normal difficulty, Poison lasts for 7 seconds, dealing 3 hearts of damage. On Hard difficulty, it lasts 15 seconds, dealing 6 hearts of damage. Poison does not kill a player but will reduce health to half a heart, making the player extremely vulnerable.

Cave Spiders are smaller than regular spiders, allowing them to fit through 1×1 gaps. They climb walls like normal spiders but are even more dangerous due to their Poison effect. They are commonly encountered in mineshafts, where their monster spawners are often surrounded by cobwebs, slowing players down and making them easier targets.
