Zombified Piglin

Zombified Piglin (Zombie Pigman) is a neutral undead variant of the piglin that inhabits the Nether. It normally ignores players, but if one is attacked, it will become enraged, causing all nearby zombified piglins to attack the aggressor in a group retaliation. They always spawn wielding a golden sword and can pose a serious threat if provoked in large numbers.

Zombified Piglins drop 0–1 rotten flesh and 0–1 gold nugget upon death. There is also a 2.5% chance to drop a gold ingot, which can increase up to 5.5% with the Looting enchantment. If killed by a player, they drop 5 experience.

Zombified Piglins cannot be bred and do not have baby variants that grow into adults. However, baby zombified piglins can spawn naturally, either on their own or riding a strider in the Nether.

Zombified Piglins are neutral mobs unless provoked. Attacking one will cause all nearby zombified piglins to immediately turn hostile, swarming the attacker in a large coordinated assault. This anger mechanic does not wear off unless all nearby zombified piglins are killed. Unlike regular piglins, zombified piglins do not barter with gold and are immune to fire and lava. They spawn in large groups in the Nether Wastes, Crimson Forests, and Nether Portals in the Overworld, making them a common presence in the game.
