Where do Bastion Remnants generate?
Bastion Remnants generate throughout the Nether in every biome except Basalt Deltas. They come in four layouts — Bridge, Hoglin Stable, Housing Units and Treasure Room — and share generation regions with Nether Fortresses, so a region holds one or the other.
How far is the nearest Bastion Remnant?
Measured from 0, 0 in the Nether — the Nether has no spawn point of its own — half of 200 random worlds had a bastion within 300 blocks on Java and 9 in 10 had one within 450; on Bedrock the same figures are 300 and 450. A portal lit near your Overworld spawn opens close to the Nether’s 0, 0, so these are roughly the distances you walk from it. The finder marks all four bastion types; open a marker for coordinates, and wear at least one piece of gold armor so Piglins stay neutral while you loot.

Treasure Room bastions hold the richest loot, including Netherite ingot upgrades and enchanted gear; any type can drop the Pigstep music disc and Netherite scrap. The finder shows the type on each marker so you can pick the best one to raid.

Yes — both editions, Minecraft 26.3 (Java) and 1.26.51 (Bedrock). Bastion Remnants arrived in 1.16 (the Nether Update) on both. Markers read 99% accurate on Java and 99% on Bedrock.
