Chest
Chest is a block in Minecraft. It is crafted from 8 Oak Planks or 8 Cherry Planks. It is used to make Oak Boat with Chest, Spruce Boat with Chest, Birch Boat with Chest, and 12 more.
The Chest is a storage block used to store and organize items. It is crafted using 8 Planks of any type in a 3×3 crafting grid and generates naturally in villages, dungeons, bastions, shipwrecks, strongholds, mineshafts, and other structures. A Chest can hold up to 27 item stacks. Placing two Chests side by side creates a Large Chest, which doubles the storage capacity to 54 slots. Large Chests cannot be placed next to each other unless separated by a block.
A Chest can be locked by placing it under a block or using a Redstone signal, preventing it from being opened. It also interacts with Hoppers, allowing for automated item transfer and storage systems. A Chest can be mined with any tool, but axes break it the fastest. Unlike a Shulker Box, a Chest does not retain its contents when broken, making it primarily useful for stationary storage and inventory management.
