Birch Shelf
The Birch Shelf is a functional and decorative storage block crafted from six Stripped Birch Logs placed in two horizontal rows within a 3×3 crafting grid. It can hold and display up to three item stacks, visually presenting each item on its front face. Interacting with any slot swaps the held item with the one stored in that position, allowing for fast item access and elegant display organization.
When powered by redstone, the Birch Shelf can link with up to two adjacent shelves, forming a connected unit that interacts with the player’s hotbar. A single powered shelf swaps three hotbar slots, two shelves swap six, and three shelves swap all nine. Redstone comparators detect filled slots, emitting a signal from 0–7, enabling redstone automation and smart storage systems.
With a hardness of 2 and blast resistance of 3, the Birch Shelf is best mined using an axe. It is waterloggable, flammable, and can interface with hoppers and droppers for automatic input and output. The bright, pale texture of birch wood gives the Birch Shelf a clean and modern look, making it ideal for bright interiors, minimalist homes, and contemporary builds where both form and function matter.
