Copper Nautilus Armor
Copper Nautilus Armor is a tier of nautilus armor intended solely for use on the nautilus mob. It sits at the bottom of the nautilus armor hierarchy, granting 4 armor points to the creature it is equipped on while providing absolutely no armor toughness. Despite being the weakest option in its category, Copper Nautilus Armor still offers a degree of protection for tamed nautiluses venturing alongside their owners.
To fit a tamed nautilus with Copper Nautilus Armor, a player can simply hold the item and interact directly with the creature, or slot it into the dedicated nautilus armor inventory — accessible while mounted on the nautilus or by sneaking near it. It is worth noting that baby nautiluses are ineligible for any nautilus armor, including Copper Nautilus Armor, since they cannot be ridden.
Copper Nautilus Armor cannot be crafted through a workbench or renewed through any in-game recipe. Instead, it must be found as naturally generated loot. In Java Edition, it has roughly a 10.8% chance of turning up in Buried Treasure chests, various Shipwreck chest types, and both small and large Ocean Ruins chests, though the odds vary slightly across certain structures in Bedrock Edition.
Once Copper Nautilus Armor is no longer useful, it can be recycled by smelting it in a furnace using any available fuel. Doing so yields a single copper nugget and awards 0.1 experience points to the player.
