Buried Treasure

Buried Treasure is a hidden chest structure that generates mainly in beach biomes, and rarely on the ocean floor. It is the only way to obtain the Heart of the Sea, which is required to craft a conduit. The chest is typically covered by sand, gravel, or stone, depending on the terrain. It can be located using a Buried Treasure map, usually found in shipwreck map chests.

In Java Edition, Buried Treasure always generates at chunk coordinate (9,9) and faces east. In Bedrock Edition, it generates at (8,8). The chest may be waterlogged if underwater.

The loot always includes a Heart of the Sea, along with items like iron, gold, emeralds, diamonds, cooked fish, TNT, prismarine crystals, and water breathing potions. Some buried treasures may also contain chainmail armor or rare items like a name tag, music disc, or book and quill in Bedrock Edition.

Buried Treasure is a valuable find in any survival world, offering resources for both exploration and underwater base building.
