Melon
Melon is a block in Minecraft. It is crafted from 9 Melon Slice.
Melon is a fruit block that grows from a fully matured Melon stem, which is planted from Melon seeds. It naturally generates in jungle biomes, savanna villages, and woodland mansions. When broken, a Melon drops 3–7 Melon slices, which can be crafted back into a Melon block using 9 slices. Breaking a Melon with Silk Touch drops the whole block, while Fortune increases the number of slices dropped, up to a maximum of 9.
Melons are farmed by planting Melon seeds, which grow into stems that produce Melon blocks on adjacent farmland. A stem must be mature and have an empty block next to it to generate a Melon. Each stem can keep producing melons after harvesting. Melons require a light level of 9 or higher to grow.
Melon slices restore 2 hunger points (1 drumstick) and can be crafted into seeds or used to make glistering melons, an ingredient for brewing Potions of Healing. Farmers trade 4 melons for 1 emerald, and melons can also be composted with a 65% chance to increase the compost level by 1.
