How do I find a Savanna Village in Minecraft?

Enter your world seed into the interactive seed-map finder on this page and toggle on villages to see the exact X/Z coordinates of every Savanna Village near you. You can also explore in-game by traveling across savanna biomes, since villages only spawn in flat, grassy areas there.

What biome and dimension does a Savanna Village spawn in?

Savanna Villages generate only in the Overworld, specifically within the savanna biome. They are built from acacia wood with terracotta accents, which sets them apart visually from plains, desert, taiga, and snowy villages.

How rare are villages and how far apart do they spawn?

In Java Edition villages generate with an average spacing of 32 chunks and a minimum separation of 8 chunks, so they are fairly common but not adjacent. Whether a given spot produces a Savanna variant depends on the underlying biome, which is why a seed map is the fastest way to locate one.

Savanna Village

generated

Savanna Village is a generated structure in Minecraft. It is home to Villager, Iron Golem, Cat, Cow, and Sheep. Its chests can contain Bread, Wheat Seeds, Acacia Sapling, Short Grass, and Tall Grass.

Savanna villages generate in savanna biomes, built from acacia wood, cobblestone, and terracotta with the distinctive sloped acacia rooflines of the biome. Their villagers wear the savanna biome outfit.

A savanna village can include an armorer, butcher, cartographer, cleric, fletcher, shepherd, leatherworker, toolsmith, and weaponsmith, but never a mason, which does not generate in savanna villages on Bedrock (MCPE-100217). Iron golems, cats, and farmyard cows and sheep are common sights.

House chests commonly contain bread, wheat seeds, and acacia saplings, with rarer grass, emeralds, gold nuggets, torches, saddles, buckets, and bundles.
