Flame
Flame is an enchantment in Minecraft. It can be applied up to level 1.
Flame is a bow enchantment that ignites arrows, causing them to set targets on fire and deal additional burning damage over time. This single-level enchantment can be obtained through enchanting tables, villager trading, fishing, and loot chests found in various Minecraft structures.
Flame arrows deal 5 fire damage over 5 seconds after the initial arrow impact, providing sustained damage similar to Fire Aspect on melee weapons. The enchantment automatically cooks meat from animals killed while burning, making it valuable for food collection during hunting expeditions.
Flaming arrows can ignite TNT, campfires, and candles but won't set blocks on fire like flint and steel, preventing accidental forest fires. However, arrows lose their Flame effect when passing through water or rain. Flame excels in combat situations requiring damage over time, mob farming applications, and utility functions like lighting distant campfires. The enchantment works on crossbows when applied through commands.
