Seagrass is a non-solid plant block that generates in all oceans except frozen oceans. It can be harvested using shears, while turtles drop Seagrass when killed. Tall Seagrass is a two-block variant that cannot be obtained as an item.
Seagrass can be placed on opaque blocks but breaks if a solid block moves into its hitbox. It is resistant to lava and prevents coral fan placement in Bedrock Edition. Bone meal can be used to grow tall Seagrass if there is enough space.
Seagrass is used to lead and breed turtles, and feeding baby turtles Seagrass accelerates their growth, granting a turtle scute when they reach adulthood. It can also be composted with a 30% chance to raise the compost level.
